The members of our United States Armed forces risk their lives for the better of the country. We thank them for their service, however every day military personnel or punished for underage drinking, or are unable to partake in responsible alcohol consumption.
If a service member is old enough to enlist into the military and die for their country, or be wounded in combat, then they are responsible enough to consume an alcoholic beverage.
It is shameful that hundreds of 18 year old military personnel die in a war, but they are not considered "responsible enough" to have a beer.
Allow military personnel to partake in the use of alcohol on base within reason at the age of 18, or increase the enlistment age of joining the United States Armed Forces to 21.
