If you want to take assault weapons away from the general public, you & congress should get rid of your armed security.

If the Executive Branch of Government wants to disarm the general public by introducing a so called "assault weapons" ban. They should lead by example and disarm their security including the Secret Service. If guns do not protect people, then why are there so many armed agents guarding the Executive Branch of Government & our congress men and women? I can assure you that the security guarding you carry real assault weapons that fire multi rounds with one squeeze of the trigger. The weapons you want to take from the general public fire the same as the rifle that our grandfathers carried. One round per squeeze of the trigger. Just because a gun looks scary because it is black and has a collapsible stock does not make it an assault weapon. So disarm before you disarm us. Lead by example.
