Sen. Diane Feinstein has announced that she will be introducing new gun legislation in Jan 2013. This legislation calls for a ban on the sale, transfer, importation, and manufacturing of certain weapons commonly referred to as assault weapons. It exempts existing legal gun owners and over 900 weapons used for hunting and sporting activities.
This legislation will help decrease the growing number of mass murders committed with assault weapons and help keep our children and ordinary citizens safe. The summary of the new proposals can be seen at:
