The petition to deport Piers Morgan is fundamentally flawed. The very act of trying to silence any individual's freedom of speech runs contrary to the very right of freedom of speech. Freedom of speech is dependent upon our national tolerance for viewpoints with which we may not only strongly disagree but find offensive and repugnant. That is one of the costs of democracy. The democratic response is to engage in the public debate. If you disagree with Mr. Morgan's position, contact his show, speak to his producer and attempt to get someone whom represents your viewpoint on his show as a guest to directly confront and debate with him this important topic.
