There have been many recent petitions posted asking for states to be able to secede from the nation. If that discussion is going to occur they should occur solely based on the individual state that has the petition.
Too many of these petitions have a vast majority of their signatures from people not living in the named state. Even worse is some of these petitions were created by people not in the named state. Those from outside the state named on the petition should have no voice in the discussion of secession.
While I understand that the people have a right to have this discussion if it so pleases them, I believe that it is up to the people in that state only.
So please disregard all signatures from petitioners who do not live in the named state on those petitions.
