Make it a crime to threaten another person's life or well being, to include messages in social media. Reports of threats need to be taken seriously too. Too often an abusive person repeatedly threatens before hurting/injuring/killing that person.
When a person asks a bank for all it's money or at an airport mentions hijacking they are arrested, no questions asked. A person talks about suicide, it is taken seriously the 1st time. Abuse must be viewed the same way before more people are hurt or killed, and not just the intended victim.
