As a person who has experienced spanking as a child as a form of discipline, I can say that it has negative effects on the child. This can include, but is not limited to aggressive behaviour and opposition, fear, and/or hatred of authority figures. In addition to this and I think you will agree, it is in my opinion that it is humanly and morally wrong to harm children and adolescents in any way. Some form of humane right should be put in place to illegalize the use of physical acts to discipline children.
