I'm a mother of two little children aged 3 and 7 months respectively.also a wife of husband who suffered serious illness

Created by L.L. on May 09, 2013

My problem is that in Jan this year my husband encountered some medical problems which required hospitalisation. His contract clearly states that this is covered by the universities medical insurance, regardless if you read it in Chinese or English. However the Harbin Uni of Science and Technology did not take out the adequate insurance as demanded and paid for by the government. They have orally admitted it is their mistake but refuse to pay as they say it was not what they meant. After engaging a lawyer, we have been offered a tenth of the costs as they say a humanitarian offering, not an obligatory one. We are not seeking anything unjust, all we want is the compensation that they signed a contract for. we realise it could be many years before this matter comes before a court.
