This petition is concerning the Alton Sterling incident that occurred in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. We, as a community, feel that the viral video footage of the shooting is sufficient enough evidence for the two police officers involved to be indicted-That was clearly murder. We do recognize the law, and understand that the public cannot convict any human-only the judicial system; but what we are saying is that this system has been failing our communities for an extended amount of time. We need justice.
