We the people petition President Obama's administration to immediately seek multilateral sanctions against the government of Venezuela, it's employees and representatives, governmentally affiliated organizations, and particularly Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A. (PDVSA) and it's affiliates.
Venezuelan citizens in opposition to the authoritarian regime of Hugo Chavez and his successor, Nicolás Maduro, have suffered oppression, retribution and election manipulation for at least a decade. Many have been forced to flee the country or have been killed for their opposition to the policies of the Bolivarian Revolution. The United States needs to stand up for our Venezuelan neighbors and guarantee their right to peacefully oppose their government's policies and advocate for change without fear!
