for the immediate resignation of all members of Congress and for an emergency election

We the people of the United States of America are henceforth petitioning for the immediate resignations of all House of Representatives and Senators. The cost of all the party line feuding has led us to a course of inaction that cannot be tolerated by the citizens any longer. The blame of the shut down must be shouldered by both sides of the party line and by both branches of the Legislative branch. Their inability to not come to any type of agreement before the deadline proves that every member of both the House and Senate are (a. no longer qualified for the positions that they hold. and (b. Blatantly proves that they have lost sight of their true reason for being in government, to further the welfare of the citizens who elected them, not worry about personal pride.
