The current way that the Department of Veterans Affairs is an immense dis-service to the honorable service reflected by our military veterans. In too many political speeches marking this past Veterans Day, too many politicians made those statements that we as veterans deserve much more from a greatful nation. However, we aren't getting what we deserve when we earned it.
It is hard to grasp that we as veterans get no real anwsers to questions about our claims, or that claims sit stagnate in regional "service centers" that leave us with no clue as to where we stand. The Department of Veterans Affairs "1-800" number is not only antiquated, you get no real information from it when you can finally get through. The "e-benefits" web site is no better.
By your own words, we deserve much more.
