The goal of this petition is to demonstrate to the Obama Administration that most citizens are dissatisfied with the current heavy regulation of firearms and the burden this places on law-abiding citizens. Because proper law enforcement and concealed carry rights are the only means in which we can reduce the number of people murdered in gun related deaths, current laws cause harm.
Powerfully lobbying groups have restricted the public's ownership of guns in ways that contravene the 2nd Amendment. The White House and Congress must act to remove many unnecessary restrictions on the private ownership and carry of firearms.
The signatures on this petition represent a collective demand for reduced regulation of gun ownership and unified Shall-Issue carry laws for all 50 states & the District.
