Immediately address the issue of high speed/high hp car control through the introduction of legislation in Congress.

Cars like the Ford Shelby GT500 Mustang routinely have 600 hp and a top speed of over 190mph. There were ~ 41,059 traffic related deaths in 2007 (source NHTSA) of these deaths a countless number were children and even entire families in some cases! We seriously need to look at banning these high speed killing machines, there is no reason we as a society need to have a car that can drive over 85 mph! The fastest highway in the US (in Texas) has a top speed of 85 mph. We must also look at limiting the high capacity horse power in these vehicles to a max of 90 hp, no one and I mean no one needs 190 hp except police forces and specially trained drivers. Finally these unnecessary machines should require special licensing and physical tests and be stored only at a licensed racing track.
