The goal of this petition is to force the Obama Administration to produce legislation that promotes positive mental health care. While a national dialogue is critical, laws are the only means in which we can reduce the number of people murdered in mental health related episodes.
This nation must address the serious underlying causes of mass murders, suicides, hate crimes and extremism. Rather than focusing on the methods of these crimes, such as guns or drugs, we should focus on these individuals as people with serious problems that can be solved through support, intervention, treatment and care.
