Immediately address the issue of the violently mental ill through the introduction of legislation in Congress.

The goal of this petition is to cause President Obama and Congressional members to enact legislation to require that mental health services in this country are fairly funded and mental health patients receive evidenced-based practice services. In light of the recent tragedy in Connecticut, a state with strong gun control laws, a conversation about gun control is meaningless without a conversation about the under-funding and under-training of our mental health care system.
