The gas shortage in NY and surrounding states is worsening. Cars in my neighborhood are now waiting 24 hours, literally, to fill up their tanks. It's already effecting the transportation system, with kids that can't get to their schools, patients who can't get to their doctors etc. Another day or two, and this may disrupt the food supply.
We are not in a horse and bayonet era, and we have aircraft tankers. The federal government should airlift NOW enough gas for the region.
We need immediate help to avoid a major catastrophe.
After this crisis is solved, we shall investigate why FEMA didn't prepare for such an event. We're already in the 7th day of the storm. Why does it take so long to arrange gas deliveries?
Mr. President, this is spiraling into a real crisis. PLEASE HELP US!
