Immediately and permanently disallow individual Congress members from voting on matters they have financial interests in

Created by C.Y. on March 02, 2014

Congress is not looking out for the people because they are looking out for their own individual financial interests.

We, as a country, cannot survive our Congress and judicial system being allowed to make the decisions that improve their stock options or otherwise pad their pocketbooks. These decisions are never in the best interest of the people of the country; they are in the best interest of corporations who already have massive legal protections that the common person does not.

By immediately and permanently revoking the right of any representative of the federal government to vote for government actions that would be in their own personal financial interest, we create an environment in which votes are based on the merit of the measure, not on growing personal wealth.
