On December 14, 2012, 20 children died in what was one of the worse mass killings in American history. In the past decade alone, scores of innocent children and adults have been killed in theatres, schools, malls and elsewhere.
We demand that President Obama immediately appoint a bi-partisan commission to investigate the phenomena of mass shootings and determine root causes, prevention strategies and policy solutions.
We do not propose to have one solution, but all causes (mental health issues, firearms regulations, security issues, etc) should be identified and examined objectively without political affiliation, campaign financing and special interest lobbying that inhibit the fair and complete investigation of mass shootings and how to prevent further violence.
