The tragedy in Newtown has brought gun control to the forefront of the political debate. Bans on the ownership of certain types of weapons in this day are considered an infringement on the rights of citizens under the Second Amendment.
I'm a firm believer in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, so I have no problems with people owning guns.
BUT there is nothing in the Constitution that states that as a commonwealth we cannot decide to ban the sales of certain types of ammunition. Gun owners can own anything they like, and those seeking gun control can rest assured that banning these types of ammunition will turn semi-automatic weapons into clubs.
Please consider banning the sales of ammunition used for the AR-15, AK-47, M-16.
Thank you for your time.
