Recently, after convicting Stacey Rambold of raping his 14-year-old student (who later killed herself over the affair), Yellowstone County Judge G. Todd Baugh sentenced Mr Rambold to 30 days in jail. His opinion indicated that the 14-year-old girl was "older than her chronological age", and that she was "as much in control of the situation" as he was.
This is unconscionable, and must not be allowed to stand.
America needs to send a clear message that rape is not permitted. That a child might AGREE to (or indeed even ASK FOR) sex, but they cannot legally or morally CONSENT to sex. That children deserve as much protection as adult victims of rape.
Remove Judge Baugh from the bench.
