It is our right in the United States Constitution to own, keep and bear arms. Any treaty with the U.N., or any attempt to ban or make it increasingly difficult to acquire ammunition or a firearm (ie re-enacting the assault weapons ban) goes against that right.
It must be recognized that this was what the United States was founded upon: freedom and liberty. This includes the right to firearms, which in turn grants the ability to protect one's self.
The idea of the United States citizens being completely at the mercy of crime, and *hoping* law enforcement would respond in the time of extreme duress, is terrifying.
Such an act against this right it is a mockery of what this great nation is all about.
