Immediately enact legislation to mitigate negligent disclosure of national security information by government officials.

Created by N.C. on February 26, 2016

ALL serious political candidates and prospective appointments should be subjugated to national security background investigations consistent with EO 12968 “Access to Classified Information and Background Investigation Standards”. Agencies should investigate and consider any matter that relates to the determination of whether access is clearly consistent with the interests of national security. Assignment to office should ONLY be authorized for individuals who receive a FAVORABLE clearance eligibility determination. Furthermore, no official should be deemed to be eligible for access to classified information or office merely by reason of right or privilege. An effective security program must be enforced at ALL levels of government, to include the executive branch.
