Immediately enact presidential executive orders that can reduce gun violence in the United States.

Created by A.S. on December 18, 2012

A primary way to address gun control is through legislation in congress. However, this can be slow and laborious, and ultimately fail, due to the difficulty of gaining majority or more consensus among senators and representatives. However, there are potentially many things the Obama administration could enact RIGHT NOW through executive order that could curb gun violence. This petition strongly urges the Obama administration to study such actions possible through executive order, publicly report on them and their pros and cons for curbing gun violence, and ultimately enact some of them. Possibilities include Incorporating more information in background checks and better government sharing of information. More can be seen here: http://bit.ly/UHB4bx.
