We call on the President and Secretary of State to take any and all actions, including the immediate end of all aid to Saudi Arabia, to bring Fayhan al-Ghamdi to justice for the rape, torture, and murder of his daughter, Lama al-Ghamdi.
Lama al-Ghamdi died in October having suffered multiple injuries including a crushed skull, broken ribs and left arm, extensive bruising and burns. The child had also been repeatedly raped and the wounds burned.
While we recognize there are differences between cultures. The continued abuse, enslavement and murder of women under so called "Islamic law", must not continue while this nation turns a blind eye.
The case of Lama al-Ghamdi is a place to stop ignoring the abuse and start doing what is right.
