The Department of Homeland Security and FEMA has been scheduling and conducting unannounced active shooter exercises in public K-12 schools. These simulations unnecessarily expose our children to acts of terror as well as accidental injury or death.
These exercises should never take place in any public venues due to the possibility of a citizen or uninformed parties armed response to apparent criminal acts. If this stipulation cannot be adhered to, all parties must be properly informed and allow to opt out of these simulations.
We the people will not stand for simulated acts of terror intent on creating a culture of fear from our own elected government. Using unsuspecting parties as pawns usurps our civil right to a peace, health and welfare.
