Currently in America, abortion rates are at an all time high. However, most of the businesses that perform abortions would never survive if it weren't for the federal money, mostly from tax payers, that they receive.
For example, Planned Parenthood, the nations largest abortion provider, received $542.4 million out of $1.069 billion (50.7%) from government funding, according to their own 2011-2012 Report. During this time, they also reported 333,964 performed abortions. Though they also offer other health services, there should be no tax dollars going to any clinics who offer abortion, regardless of what other services they do offer.
The people running this country have yet to provide the legislation needed on this issue. With enough signatures, maybe We the People can be the difference.
