This petition is to immediately freeze all salary and benefits levels for all members of the US House of Representatives and US Senate for gross negligence in their duties to represent the people of the United States.
The citizens of the United States did enter into any agreement to raise compensation for the US Congress and should, therefore, not be forced to pay for services not rendered, especially with regard to fiscal cliff negotiations.
Immediately freeze all salaries and benefits until mid-term elections in 2014 and provide for a federal ballot initiative allowing the PEOPLE to decide if the US Congress deserves a raise.
