This petition holds that especially given the fragile state of our economy at home and with pending cuts to out own military, it is of questionable wisdom and judgement to continue to give military and monetary aid to Egypt. The recently approved gifts of Fighter Jets, Main Battle Tanks as well as 250 Million Dollars, should be immediately suspended until such time that Congress can review the true status and alliance of President Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood. Our country cannot afford it, and furthermore, it makes no sense to contribute to further militarization of a country and government that even our own President was unsure of their Ally status. In addition, serious investigation is called for into allegations of Oppression and Human Rights Violations, by the same entities.
