A sharp spike in illegal immigration has caused facilities and resources along the U.S.-Mexico border to become overwhelmed. As a result, U.S. Border Patrol has been releasing thousands of illegal immigrants onto U.S. soil each week.
This is unsustainable, utterly irresponsible and insulting to immigrants who have striven to become legal citizens of the United States. We don't know who any of these people are, what their backgrounds are or if they're even healthy. We are allowing this incursion of unknown individuals to occur unchallenged.
The Border Patrol is in ever-increasing danger with this ongoing trend and this administration needs to dedicate all resources to halting this illegal invasion. It is a threat to national security, border state economies and United States citizens.
