Nearly 300 schoolgirls in Nigeria were kidnapped in April -- taken in one fell swoop from their rooms -- by alleged militants. Several dozen girls escaped, but 276 remain missing. Presumably, they are alive; they must be scared and desperately hoping to be rescued. The U.S. is in a position to help. Please immediately mobilize resources to find and save these children. We have mobilized resources for similar international tragedies; the Nigerian girls and their families need our help as much as anyone ever has. Perhaps a viable rescue mission already is underway; if so, you have our support in investing the resources needed to make it successful.
