Dear Mr. President:
WE THE PEOPLE respectfully request your administration to prosecute Edward Snowden to the fullest extent possible under the law.
Snowden, a former contractor for the National Security Agency, violated serious national security laws before fleeing U.S. soil and seeking political asylum from 27 different nations, and is threatening to reveal even more classified information to the general public and the media if he does not get his way.
Although his actions technically did not meet the legal definitions of espionage or treason, he knowingly stole valuable information and willingly released it -- violating his oath not to.
Mr. President, the American people and a majority of Congress wish for Snowden to immediately stand trial in the U.S. and face justice.
