Introduce and pass legislation to place controls on the amount oil companies and distributors can charge for gas. It's not uncommon to see gas prices change three times in 24 hours - when a storm is predicted, or a skirmish erupts in the Middle East, or as a holiday approaches. There is a lot of talk in helping the middle class, so do something that helps all classes and helps to build the economy. When oil corporations can report billions of dollars in annual profits, while millions of Americans are struggling to take care of their families, is unexcuseable. The oil companies are ripping off the average citizen, and government is looking the other way.
