Our government was created for print technology, thus is not sufficiently interactive and is becoming increasingly dysfunctional. The public is highly dissatisfied with its performance and cost. It is failing to create a steady state and equitable economy. It is failing to produce future peace, prosperity and sustainability.
Now that we have E-technology which can link all people together quickly and interactively we should use it to create E-democracy by E-inititiative, referendum and recall - to access the best ideas available to solve our problems and unify the public behind their implementation. About half the states already have I,R & R as does Switzerland so it would not be difficult to take online. "Government with the consent of the governed" can now be restored - online.
