immediately put into motion the steps required to repeal the 2nd Amendment

The Second Amendment was adopted in an era where there was no National Guard. Today, the National Guard is the "militia" for each state and it adequately protects citizens's interests. Since the Second Amendment has been perverted into a law that allows anyone to carry a weapon and has thus led to untold mayhem and killings and unnecessary deaths -- all which surely were not the Framers' Intent -- it is time to repeal the Second Amendment and to replace it with language that guarantees states rights to militia but prevents private citizens from otherwise bearing arms.
