When establishing the Bill of Rights, our Founding Fathers wisely placed into its contents that every individual should have the right to bear arms. The purpose behind this ammendment was to give the citizens of the United States a defense against their government, in case their government corrupted herself and became a tyranny. This was non-negotiable in the eyes of our Founding Fathers.
Some two-hundred plus years later the very fact that people want to rid people of the right to bear arms, would make our Founding Fathers sick at their stomachs. To use a tragedy to push politics in the direction of the few who believe only the government and police should have the right to bears arms, is tasteless.
Guns do not kill people, anymore than alcohol, idiots kills people!
