immediately reconvene both Houses of Congress to debate and vote on military operations against ISIL.

Per Article II, Section 3 of the Constitution, the President may "...on extraordinary Occasions, convene both Houses, or either of them..." We petition that the President convene both the House and Senate immediately, and instruct the Congress to debate and vote on ongoing military operations against ISIL in Iraq and Syria, as is their requirement per the War Powers Act. We assert that Congress must authorize continued military action in excess of 60 days and, as the voice of the people, should and must debate the merit of such actions, to include the desired end state. We ask the President to help the People in ensuring that the Congress lives up to its Constitutional and legal requirements.
