Immediately reform campaign fundraising procedures and laws to remove non-entities from the donation pool.

Created by M.M. on November 17, 2012

Fundraising for public office campaigning can no longer be conducted with non-entities through the use of PACs. PACs have become a way to bypass the laws in place to limit the amount of money a business or corporation can donate to a candidate. Transparency needs to be in place for the good of the common man, instead of protecting corporations by blatantly shrouding fundraising activity. Additionally, the status of PACs as a 527 organization effectively removes the limit on fundraising collections to PACs with no control over who contributes.
When a non entity can endorse a campaign by donating millions, if not billions of dollars to a candidate, the power no longer remains in the hands of the people, but instead in the wants of the corporation.
