We the People of the United States find rape, sexual abuse, and especially pedophilia, to be one of the most egregious crimes that can be committed upon another person. As such, we demand the immediate rescission of the decision to dismiss Sgt. 1st Class Charles Martland from the US Army for his actions in Afghanistan on September 6, 2011 in which he defended a child who was brutally raped by a local Afghan police officer and that child's mother.
His dismissal is an afront to the human right to defend others that are being wrongly abused under the color of authority. In fact, he has been deprived of his unalienable right to Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness and continues to be as long as this decision is allowed to stand. We seek immediate redress for this grievance.
