The proposed Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) has been shrouded in secrecy. The draft is classified, and the only information currently available is from a leaked version on Wiki Leaks. The President and other elected government officials - most notably Sen. Warren - strongly disagree as to what the effect will be on the American people.
The Administration is proposing that the TPP be "fast-tracked," which will allow its adoption by a bare majority of the Senate. Given that NAFTA, the last major trade agreement the US entered into, resulted in a substantial loss of American jobs (especially in the manufacturing sector), we believe the proposed TPP agreement needs to be available to the American public for their review and input.
