Immediately relieve (Ret.) Lt. General James R. Clapper, Director of National Intelligence, of all Intel related duties.

Created by C.S. on August 13, 2013

On March 12, 2013, during a United States Senate Select Committee on Intelligence hearing, Director James Clapper knowingly gave false testimony while under oath. A clear violation of 18 USC § 1621; Perjury generally. Since then he has admitted to lying. He also makes the claim, in a letter to Sen. Feinstein, that he forgot key legislation which grants his authority; the reason for the lie. Mr. President, either this man knowingly lied or he is too incompetent to perform his duties. We are not asking for criminal charges, even though we believe he has openly committed perjury. We are simply demanding his resignation or termination; he is clearly unfit for duty. We should not have to chose between a liar or a fool to be in charge of the greatest intelligence gathering agency in the world.
