Immediately restore the payroll tax cuts implemented under the Bush administration that have now been allowed to expire

President Obama promised no addtional taxes on the middle class and low income families. Yet, expiration of the payroll tax cuts does just that. Millions of middle class and low income families will be devastated by the additional $50 -$100 dollars of payroll taxes being withheld from their checks due to expiration of this tax cut. Many of them are are already living from paycheck to paycheck and at a time when the cost of everything is going up except their wages (food, gas, health care costs, etc.), the last thing these families can afford is an increase in taxes. The impact of this increase is PHENOMENAL and results in a decrease in two wage earner family incomes times 2. The decrease in single and minimum wage earner family incomes is even worse.
