Immediately review the black hole of 221g at US consulates

I have travelled to India to visit family that includes my ailing mother. I had an interview on 11/17/2011 with the US embassy in New Delhi. During the interview process I was informed that the employer-employee relationship needed further review and my visa has been temporarily put on hold. USCIS reviewed and sent back reaffirmed approval to DOS on 13th Jan 2012. I re-appeared for another interview with the copy of reaffirmed petition on 27th Jan 2012 and was advised to submit employment letter from the petitioner with passport to VFS. I submitted the same to VFS office on 30th Jan 2012.Since then, I have been unable to ascertain the status of my case. With no information, I am uncertain about the next steps? I also have liabilities and financial interests left behind in the US
