America sends billions of dollars in foreign aid oversees. While helping down-trodden people across the world is a noble and glorious purpose, too often the aid is hijacked by unscrupulous dictators, warlords or local villians. This only exacerbates violence and suffering around the world. Additionally, it provides zero return on investment here at home.
Ending all monetary and humanitarian aid would allow the US to decrease the budget deficit by no longer borrowing increasingly larger amounts of money, and would ultimately help restore the confidence of the American public by seeing the governement taking care of it's own people.
Perhaps after a time, other world populations would again see the US as a benevolent benefactor rather than a power drunk behemoth in need fo destroying
