America’s coal industry generates 766,000 jobs, more than $52 billion in wages to support American families, 40 percent of the nation’s electric generation and is a basic requirement for the production of steel.
President Obama has openly denounced coal and has called coal’s use in the past a "mistake” -- an affront to the great men and women of the coal industry who have made America the most powerful nation in the world. He has used executive orders and policies to bypass Congress and the Constitution, imposing impossible standards beyond the limits of current technology that will raise the price of energy for all Americans.
