immediately stop the deportation of Central American women and children seeking asylum in the United States.

Since December 2015 DHS has been conducting a new round of raids to deport undocumented immigrants. The majority of those picked up and deported have been family members, not felons. Those returned to Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador face the threat of death due to the unending violence in their home countries. Many are women and children whose lawful claims for asylum are being ignored. This treatment of women and children violates US and international law. Instead of deportation, these individuals should be granted temporary stays because of the violence in their home countries. We call on President Obama to stop these raids immediately.
