The Federal Government must immediately stop its programs of spying on citizens through widespread collection of information on innocent electronic activity including telephone communication. There can be no excuse for widespread collection of information about citizens' innocent electronic communications and online activity. There can be no excuse for using secret court opinions to justify activities of questionable constitutionality. If we allow diminution of our constitutional rights, then the terrorists win. If we accept star-chamber courts, then the terrorists win. If Congress is "informed" but prohibited from discussion and debate, that is an unconstitutional infringement of its right and duty to check the overreach of the Executive branch.
