The U.S. should support the determination of a clear red line (say Oct 1st), as suggested by PM Netanyahu. We should make it abundantly clear to Iran that if they are not in full compliance with all UNSC resolutions by that time, they will be open to force. We should also recognize the Iranian right to peaceful nuclear power and support the same IAEA inspections on Israel. A nuclear Iran is the clearest and most present danger to the U.S. and Israeli. A nuclear attack from Iran will put the entire world order at risk, and the second and third order economic effects are unimaginable. The U.S. commitment to allies around the world is being questioned already by Japan. Further refusal to actively support Israel will only exacerbate these doubts having there own 2nd and 3rd order effects.
