We the people ask the federal government to Take or explain a position on an issue or policy:

Immediately take steps to end the abuse and violence against peaceful protesters at Standing Rock.

Created by D.J. on October 29, 2016

We ask that our Congress and our President take immediate steps, including the use of military presence if necessary, to end the violence and abuse of the peaceful protestors at Standing Rock. We ask that their right to peaceful assembly be respected and preserved, and that our federal government take appropriate steps to prevent the harm of these protestors at the hands of local law enforcement and the National Guard as they peacefully assemble to prevent critical natural resources from being permanently harmed. This is a civil rights issue, and a criminal issue as well.
