We the undersigned ask the Obama administration to bring the hunger-striking detainees at Guantanamo Bay to trial on US soil. Given the increasing gravity of the situation at the Camp, we believe that these detainees should be swiftly brought to trial. These men are enduring pain and suffering far beyond could ever be considered legal or humane within the United States, in order to earn legal rights our founding fathers believed to be sacrosanct. We encourage the Obama administration to not shy away from this issue, especially since the President himself has promised the closing of Guantanamo since he was first elected in 2008.
